Why Giving Matters

With your help, Virginia Theological Seminary brings God’s love to His people in need.

The world today is a confusing place: polarization and secularization are strong. Many people have not yet found their way back to church after the COVID-19 pandemic.  Loneliness, anxiety, and distrust weigh on us and those we love.

VTS offers Christan hope by sending out more clergy to congregations in the United States than any other Episcopal seminary. These well-trained people preach, teach, baptize, marry, offer pastoral care and sit next to those who are dying. From traditional congregations to innovative ministries, countless human lives are being touched by VTS clergy.

Your gift of any amount supports the work of training and formation that leads to strong clergy and lay leaders.

  • $50 can support table fellowship, a cornerstone of residential theological education that contributes to lasting connections
  • $150 can help cover Spiritual Direction for a current student, strengthening them for future ministry
  • $500 can support clergy and lay leaders in any stage of ministry through innovative programming and new thinking about the Church
  • $1,000 can impact academic excellence by helping to maintain a world class faculty

Through these and other priorities, your gifts to the Annual Fund help us reach people in need today and build the church of tomorrow.

Give today. Change tomorrow.
